About me:

Hi, I’m Pete Vivonetto — a structural engineer and math tutor based in Boston, and a former Division I lacrosse player and team captain at Brown University.

I’ve always been passionate about solving problems — on the field, in the classroom, and now in my career. That same preparation, focus, and encouragement I brought to my teammates are the qualities I bring to every student I work with.

Why work with me:

Strong academic foundation
I’ve studied math at a high level, earning degrees in Economics from Brown University and Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo.

Real-world perspective
As a structural engineer, I use advanced math and problem-solving every day — and I help students see how these same skills connect to the real world beyond the classroom.

Proven tutoring experience
With over 12 years of tutoring experience, I’ve learned how to quickly identify where students struggle and create a clear, personalized plan for improvement. My approach has consistently helped students boost their grades, test scores, and confidence.

Flexible and convenient
All sessions are held online via live video call, allowing students to learn from anywhere and fit lessons seamlessly into their schedule.
